INTRODUCING OUR STAR SIGNINGS!

Banvillas F.C. is back in the news o. Allot has happened while we were away but I'll unravel the yarns one by one. First, allow me to introduce you to a couple of our new signings.

Introducing our new Ghanaian centre back, Alex. Alex is learning quickly and it won't surprise me if his enthusiasm and talent propels him to become our best defender at the club.

Secondly, the brova holding up the number 9 shirt is our star Nigerian striker, Daniel. Daniel is our very own C. Ronaldo! With skill to burn and with technique of a veteran, Daniel has been very impressive in training. His star is on the rise and Coach Chike recently declared himself pleased we were able to sign our man.

Next up is the lightening-quick Ernest 'Ziegler'. Ernest is seen here holding up the no. 6 shirt. Ernest is a talented winger with an eye for goal. Watch out for him!

By the way, if u look closely at this picture, you'll see yours truly to the right of Joshua. But I'm not the star of the show, Josh is! You wouldn't want to run into this guy in a lonely alley. Joshua is fierce tackler and his marking ability makes attacking players feel lonely at the end of games. Don't be deceived by the pretty face o, Josh is a terrier on the pitch. His versatility will help the team and his ability to play in different positions makes him a real gem to the squad.

Why is Team Manager Ibim Longjohn smiling so much? It's because we've finally found the solution to our long-lingering left back problems. The solution is in the form of the highly-dependable defensive stalwart Steven. The Nigerian is already a fixture in the first team and has shown more than enough flashes of his talent to convince Ibim that investing in him was wise.

I'm out for now, pls forward all your emails to thechiaman@gmail.com. Later.

IN A 'FRIENDLY' MOOD

Its a new week o, how was ur weekend? Our weekend at Banivillas F.C was very eventful. First of all, the players at Sun City F.C were spared a spanking when the friendly between the two clubs was cancelled. For those who don't know, ur favorite soccer team's favorite soccer team, Banivillas F.C. was billed to play against neighbours and fierce rivals, Sun City F.C on Sunday, Sept 15th at the KNUST JSS Football Field. Anticipation had been building up for the derby game and the rival players were raring to go but the fixture had to be postponed for certain reasons.

In place of the game, the team continued training at our Banivillas F.C., Training Complex, Kentikrono, Kumasi, Ghana. Our training day are Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, so if ur ever in our area code, why not check on ur boys.

However, I had an exclusive interview with team coach Chike Okoro and the head honcho informed me that plans are underway fix yet another friendly next weekend with the Brunei Sultans.

Coach chike assured me that the Banivillians will have no problems disposing of the depleted Brunei squad. Watch this blog for more info on ur favourite stars during the week. I'm out!
